Role Description: The Information Technology Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining the technology environment that enables Freedom Financing’s lending and consulting operations. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical support to team members, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and managing user accounts and access controls. The role involves monitoring and securing networks, implementing updates and patches, and collaborating with vendors or service providers to resolve technical problems. The Information Technology Engineer will also assist with system improvements, documentation of IT processes, and adherence to security and compliance standards relevant to financial services.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Information Technology and Technical Support skills, including experience with common operating systems, business applications, and remote support tools. Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently. Candidates should possess Networking skills, including configuring and maintaining routers, switches, VPNs, and basic infrastructure components. Candidates should possess Network Security skills, such as managing firewalls, access controls, encryption, and security best practices. Relevant qualifications include experience in financial services or a similar regulated environment, familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards, and strong documentation and communication skills. Beneficial qualifications include a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar).
