Cross Connect Talent is looking for Electrical Superintendents for several projects across the US. We are looking for candidates that are open to traveling to about any site in the continental US.
Description: The Electrical Superintendent directs and manages all field operations for assigned construction projects, ensuring safe, timely, and profitable completion. This role is the primary supervisor for all electrical and instrumentation construction activities, subcontractor performance, and site safety.
Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Oversight: Own the successful execution of the project's electrical scope. Manage the overall construction effort, focusing on safety, productivity, material efficiency, scheduling, and contractual performance. Develop and implement project procedures and standards in collaboration with project management. Safety & Quality Assurance: Champion site-wide safety, conducting regular reviews and audits of safety documentation (PTAs, TSOs).Verify material specifications and proper storage. Oversee all electrical and instrumentation installation, including calibration, loop checks, point-to-point checks, and system testing. Develop punch lists and verify current drawing revisions are used in the field. Subcontractor & Schedule Management: Direct and manage subcontractors to maintain compliance with the project schedule and contractual obligations. Track and verify progress based on installed quantity and work hours. Assess future work using 3-week lookaheads to identify potential concerns and maximize workflow efficiency. Documentation & Coordination: Maintain daily field reports and photo documentation of progress. Create marked-up and as-built drawings and assist with answering RFIs. Build effective relationships with clients, A/E representatives, and subcontractors. Authorize purchase requisitions and field design change requests under management supervision. Scope Expertise: Supervise the installation and testing of all electrical components, including: raceway, cable tray, ductbank, grounding, switchgear, transformers, low/medium voltage equipment, motors, heat tracing, and instrumentation. Interpret isometric, structural drawings, and P&IDs. Experience (Minimum Requirement):10+ of construction management or craft supervision experience on electrical projects Heavy industrial or oil/gas industry experience Other: Must meet company driving requirements.
