About the role
- Generate new freight opportunities through proactive business development and relationship-building initiatives
- Develop, grow, and manage a portfolio of transportation brokerage accounts
- Expand existing customer partnerships through strategic account development and consultative sales
- Coordinate freight solutions including Full Truckload (FTL), Dry Van, Reefer, Intermodal, Drayage, Specialized Equipment, Over-Dimensional, and Multi-Modal shipments
- Develop competitive freight pricing strategies that balance customer satisfaction with company profitability
- Collaborate with Carrier Development and Operations teams to ensure successful shipment execution
- Build and maintain productive relationships with transportation carriers and logistics partners
- Resolve shipment issues, service disruptions, claims, and customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Monitor freight market conditions, transportation trends, and emerging business opportunities
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM tools
- Deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to increase account revenue and long-term retention
- Minimum five years of experience within a non-asset freight brokerage environment
- Proven business development, transportation sales, or account management experienceStrong understanding of freight pricing, transportation execution, and brokerage operations
- Experience coordinating FTL, Dry Van, Reefer, Specialized, Intermodal, Drayage, and Over-Dimensional freight
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and customer service skills
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work onsite in Grapevine, TexasU.S.-based applicants only
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Transportation brokerage professionals with operational execution experienceStrong background in freight account management and carrier development
- Asset-based transportation experience
- Experience managing high-volume customer portfolios
- Existing transportation industry relationships and business network
