Must be local to Las Vegas, NVMust Haves 5+ years of OSP Fiber Engineering, Fiber Design, or Network Engineering experience. Experience reviewing and approving HLDs and LLDs Strong understanding of FTTH/FTTX architecture, OSP construction, and engineering standards Experience performing QA/QC reviews and redlining fiber designs Ability to identify design deficiencies and provide technical guidance Experience working with engineering vendors and field teams Field experience validating constructability Plusses FTTH/FTTX broadband deployment experience Experience managing third-party engineering vendors Familiarity with IQGeo, GIS, AutoCAD, VETRO, or OSPInsight Knowledge of permitting, ROW, and utility coordination Job Overview The Fiber Design Review Engineer reviews, validates, and approves fiber network designs to ensure they meet engineering standards, quality requirements, and construction readiness prior to deployment.
Day-to-Day:
Review and approve HLDs and LLDs Perform QA/QC reviews and provide redlines Validate routing, splice plans, fiber counts, and network architecture Partner with construction, permitting, and project teams to resolve design issues Serve as the fiber engineering SME during design reviews and escalations Drive improvements to design quality and engineering standards
