About the role
- Prepare trucks, equipment, and materials prior to each delivery run
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure safe operation, proper loading, and compliance with company policies
- Verify load accuracy and correct any discrepancies before departure
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in accordance with all company fleet policies and local regulations
- Deliver materials to customer locations in a timely and professional manner
- Unload materials at customer-designated locations safely and accurately
- Inspect delivered materials for accuracy and damage prior to obtaining proof of delivery
- Obtain customer signatures and collect payments (COD) when required
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery documentation
- Perform post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate customer concerns, delivery issues, or service needs to supervisor
- Submit all required paperwork and payments in a timely manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Valid driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Plus positive points required
- Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with all local and company policiesDOT Medical Card required and ability to pass required physical
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50-75 pounds regularly
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service
- Successful completion of background check (no history of violence or theft)
