Strategic Technical Sales Executive – Bakery and Nutrition Ingredients
About the Opportunity:
Our Partner is seeking two experienced Strategic Technical Sales Executives to accelerate revenue growth, expand market share, and build strategic partnerships across North America. One position will focus on the bakery ingredients side of the business, while the other will focus on nutrition ingredients. This is a high-impact sales role designed for a proven hunter and relationship builder who can identify and win new business while developing long-term partnerships with key customers. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of bakery ingredients with the ability to engage everyone from plant-level teams to C-suite executives. This individual will be responsible for driving new business, expanding strategic accounts, and positioning Our Partner as a trusted innovation partner rather than simply a supplier. Company vehicle provided for business travel and company expense card provided for business-related travel and expenses, including flights and meals What They’ll DoProspect and develop new commercial and industrial bakery accounts throughout North America Build and execute strategic account penetration plans Identify competitive displacement opportunities and develop winning strategies Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline Generate opportunities through networking, referrals, trade shows, Linked In, industry events, and direct outreach Develop trusted relationships with CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CFOs, Procurement Leaders, R&D Directors, and Plant Leadership Lead strategic business reviews and long-term customer growth planning Identify cross-selling, upselling, and innovation opportunities Lead consultative sales engagements focused on solving customer challenges Translate technical bakery challenges into valuable commercial solutions Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and commercialize differentiated ingredient technologies Present ROI-based value propositions and drive customer adoption Convert technical trials into long-term commercial partnerships Own territory revenue, volume, and profitability targets Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM activity, and disciplined pipeline management Represent Our Partner at major industry events and conferences Share market and competitive intelligence to help shape future product and commercialization strategies What They’re Looking For 5+ years of successful sales experience within bakery ingredients, food ingredients, enzymes, or functional food systems Proven success winning new business and exceeding sales targets Demonstrated ability to operate as both a Hunter and Relationship Manager Experience selling complex technical solutions to executive-level decision makers Strong history of expanding strategic accounts and increasing customer value Experience managing large, multi-location commercial and industrial bakery customers Strong knowledge of bakery ingredient systems, enzymes, dough conditioning, shelf-life extension, nutritional fortification, or clean-label solutions Bachelor’s degree required Food Science, Bakery Science, Chemistry, Business, or a related field preferredMBA or advanced technical degree is a plus

40% travel throughout North America Frequent customer visits, plant trials, technical meetings, and executive presentations Participation in industry trade shows and customer events Work within GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements
