Account Manager – Battery Energy Storage Equipment Powr 2 | Bethel, CT (in person) | Full-time | $100kAbout Powr 2 Powr 2 designs and manufactures battery energy storage systems. Our POWRBANK BESS units are used by North America’s leading equipment rental and temporary power companies to provide cleaner, quieter power for construction sites, events, and grid support. In this role, you will work directly with those customers, helping them put our technology to work and building partnerships that last.This job is 100% office based - please do not apply unless you can consistently work at least 4 days per week at our offices in Bethel, CT.
Job Summary: The Account Manager is the customer’s key contact once an order is placed and owns the ongoing relationship with assigned accounts. You will keep customers informed from purchase order through delivery and commissioning, making sure every interaction with Powr 2 is a great one, and growing each account into long-term, repeat business. You will be the customer’s voice inside Powr 2, working with our Sales, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Service, Quality, and Finance teams to make sure we deliver on our commitments. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder who is organized, proactive, and comfortable representing a technical product in a fast-paced industry.
Responsibilities: Own the ongoing relationship with assigned customer accounts as their primary point of contact after their order is placed. Grow accounts by building trust, understanding each customer’s fleet and project needs, and securing repeat purchase orders. Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and partner with Sales to convert them. Keep customers informed with regular, proactive updates on order status, production schedules, shipments, and key milestones. Act as the customer’s advocate internally, working with cross-functional teams to resolve questions and deliver on commitments. Monitor order timelines, spot risks early, and escalate issues so customers are never caught by surprise. Coordinate customer-facing milestones, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), training, site visits, delivery, and commissioning. Lead account reviews and prepare customer reports and supporting documentation. Complete customer onboarding and supplier qualification documentation. Process sales orders and keep ERP/CRM records accurate and current. Document meeting notes and action items and follow up to ensure timely completion. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or a related B2B customer-facing role. Proven ability to build lasting customer relationships and grow repeat business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).Experience using CRM and ERP systems preferred. Manufacturing, industrial equipment, equipment rental, renewable energy, or technical product experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
