Overview: A Series A enterprise SaaS company with approximately 100 employees is seeking a legal operations professional to help build out its legal function. Reporting to the company's first legal hire, this person will establish practical processes and take ownership of day-to-day legal coordination. This role does not require independent negotiation of commercial agreements.
Core Responsibilities: Lead the evaluation and onboarding of a CLM tool (Ironclad), partnering with vendors to configure templates, intake questionnaires, approval levels, and potential Slack or Salesforce integrations. Build an agreement repository and processes for storing signed contracts, tracking status, and identifying key obligations. Monitor the legal inbox and help the sales team submit requests, either by guiding them through intake or initiating workflows, depending on the process adopted. Manage DocuSign workflows, customer follow-ups, supplier forms and questionnaires, and redline coordination. Establish repeatable workstreams for post-signature needs, including insurance-related follow-up. Gather information and route matters to outside counsel, keeping the legal function moving when the legal lead is out. Build and maintain a Notion hub for legal resources, including accessible, well-formatted templates.
