Job Description: Youth Baseball Umpire – Saturday GamesAZ Glow Baseball | Gilbert & Queen Creek, AZAZ Glow Baseball is seeking reliable, knowledgeable, and professional Youth Baseball Umpires for our Fall 2026 season. This is a great opportunity for experienced umpires, current/former baseball players or coaches, and individuals looking for Saturday part-time work in a fun youth baseball environment.
Schedule: Games are played on Saturdays, primarily in the evening. This is a part-time/seasonal position with the possibility of multiple games per Saturday.
Game Locations: Umpires may be scheduled at McQueen District Park – Gilbert, Crossroads District Park – Gilbert, and/or Mansel Carter Oasis Park – Queen Creek.
Responsibilities: Officiate youth baseball games fairly and consistently according to league rules Arrive on time and prepared for assigned games Make clear, confident calls regarding balls/strikes, safe/out, fair/foul, and other game situations Maintain control of the game while promoting good sportsmanship Communicate professionally with coaches, players, league staff, and parents Keep games moving and assist with maintaining the league's game time limits Enforce age-appropriate baseball rules and AZ Glow Baseball league rules Help provide a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for youth players Report significant incidents or concerns to league staff
Qualifications: Previous umpiring experience is preferred but not necessarily required for candidates with strong baseball knowledge. Applicants should understand baseball rules, be comfortable making decisions under pressure, communicate clearly, and be able to remain professional in a youth sports environment. Candidates must also be able to stand and move around a baseball field for the duration of games and have reliable transportation to Gilbert and/or Queen Creek.
