Call: 1 call shift per week Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend Job RequirementsAt least 1 year of Perfusionist experience required Experience supporting cardiovascular surgery and cardiac procedures in the operating room Current and active Perfusionist licensure and/or certification as required by the state Strong knowledge of extracorporeal circulation equipment, heart-lung machines, and patient monitoring Ability to work scheduled day shifts, participate in call coverage, and rotate weekends Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities: Operate and manage heart-lung machines and related perfusion equipment during cardiovascular procedures Monitor patient physiological parameters and respond appropriately throughout surgical cases Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical staff to support safe, efficient care Prepare, test, and maintain perfusion equipment to ensure readiness and compliance with clinical standards Document perfusion procedures and patient data accurately and thoroughly Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotation as scheduled Support high-quality patient outcomes through adherence to established protocols and best practices
