STATUS: Per diemLOCATION: Clifton Springs Hospital - 2 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs, NY 14432DEPARTMENT: Spa OperationsSCHEDULE: Day shift, 6-hr. shifts (Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday); 1:00 pm - 6:00 pmPOSITION SUMMARY The position of Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for developing a full-capacity practice, providing educational venues for Clifton Springs Hospital & clinic staff, community, and assisting other professional staff within The Springs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide massage therapy (Swedish, Deep Tissue and Signature), hydrotherapy and other bodywork treatments for clients; assist in poultices and other special treatments; demonstrate evaluation skills, palpation accuracy and recognize contraindications to treatment Assist with educational programs for hospital staff and community; participate in research projects; write articles both in concert with other practitioners and alone Spa Attendant duties as assigned (housekeeping, maintaining supplies, assisting other practitioners with rooming, etc.)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of NYS-recognized massage school

Required Licensure/Certification Skills: NYS licensure as a massage therapist. Compassionate, kind, and patient-focused Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and ExcelPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $27.00CITY: Clifton SpringsPOSTAL CODE: 14432 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
