About the role
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or technical training preferred
- Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and product specifications
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong math skills, including decimals, fractions, measurements, and conversions Experience Requirements 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred
- Mechanical or technical background preferred
- Experience with extrusion, cable manufacturing, fiber optic products, or related production processes is a plus
- Experience troubleshooting equipment and production issues preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle production materials and equipment
- Ability to work around manufacturing machinery and moving equipment
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to safely handle materials, chemicals, and production tools Job Duties Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines and other cable manufacturing equipment
- Adjust machine settings to meet production and quality standards
- Review work orders, drawings, specifications, and production instructions
- Inspect and test cable products to ensure quality requirements are met
- Perform re-spooling, bobbin winding, packaging, labeling, and related production tasks
- Enter production and quality data into company systems
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to reduce downtime
- Partner with Engineering to support new products and process improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures, ISO standards, and manufacturing guidelines
