We serve adults with acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries in an outpatient setting. The recreation therapist works in a team environment with a physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, and neuropsychologist to create a comprehensive rehabilitation program to meet the individual needs of the patient and family. The successful applicant will have experience working with adults with acquired brain injury/spinal cord injury; will have understanding of impact of brain injury and spinal cord injury on participation in leisure activities; will be able to create individualized treatment plans targeting return to leisure and community reintegration; and will demonstrate personal characteristics of creativity and flexibility.
Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required. Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required. Should have certified experience in a medical setting.#BSWIR-Outpatient
