Position Title: Buyer / Purchasing Agent
Reports to: Southeast Region Procurement Manager
Job Description: An exciting opportunity for a buyer to join a dynamic team with Supply One. Responsible for assuring that stock levels are maintained at the lowest possible level while achieving the desired min/max levels and maintaining inventory for customer specific agreements and requirements for the Southeast Region.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain existing item numbers and updates under the assigned product lines Purchase Order placement of products under the assigned buy lines to meet demand based on price and lead time. Sourcing of existing items for best price and availability Verify and maintain accurate average cost and raw cost in inventory and purchase orders. Prepare quotes with best supplier option for all items under the assigned buy line Negotiate price increase and decreases with vendors and sales as market conditions change Expedite product as due dates approach Review quality issues and resolve with supplier, QA department and sales Determine vendor and shipping requirements Other tasks as assigned
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 3 years of buying experienceMRP experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Knowledge of MS office suite Excellent communication skills Accurate/Organized/Prioritizes Great Attitude and willingness to learn Excellent verbal skills Maintain good attendance Scheule: Full-TimeM-F 8am-5pm
