Software Engineer Apex Systems is searching for qualified candidates for a Software Engineer role with one of our top clients based in Nashville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity to get started with a Fortune 500 company offering major growth potential.
Job Title: Software Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 month contract
Responsibilities & Qualifications:2+ years of experience in software engineering 2 -6 years Java development experience Solid understanding of testing practices, mocking, TDDGood understanding of good coding principles Familiarity with dependency injection / inversion of control Familiarity with general database principles and ORM tools Previous experience performing code reviews Solid experience with RESTful principles and/or web services Experience with Modern continuous integration, build, version control tools Experience with Design Patterns and good design principles
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Modern Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate
- Oracle or other SQL based databases
- Testing tools like JUnit, Mockito.
- Web UI frameworks and languages like Angular, JavaScript.
- Continuous integration tools
Required Skills:
2 -6 years Java development experience, Solid understanding of testing practices, mocking, TDD with tools like Junit or Mockito, Good understanding of good coding principles, Familiarity with dependency injection / inversion of control, Familiarity with general database principles and ORM tools, Previous experience performing code reviews, Solid experience with RESTful principles and/or web services, Experience with Modern continuous integration, build, version control tools, Experience with Design Patterns and good design principles Basic Qualification: 3+ years of Java Experience - Spring and springboot Experience developing and consuming restful APIS Experience with CI/CD tools and working in a modern cloud based CI/CD environment, preferably AWS ability to write and deploy tests with tools/frameworks such as Junit and Mockito Additional Skills: 3+ years of Java Experience - Spring and springboot Experience developing and consuming restful APIS Experience with CI/CD tools and working in a modern cloud based CI/CD environment, preferably AWS ability to write and deploy tests with tools/frameworks such as Junit and Mockito Long term contracting opportunity 100% remote Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: 12+ month contract.- expected to extend. 100% remote.
