About the role
Senior Delivery Manager, Data Centers | Remote, USI'm hiring a Senior Delivery Manager to join a large-scale, ongoing data center programme for a global technology client, leading a sizeable team that needs uplevelling. SDM Responsibilities This is not a construction or build-out role. The team needs someone with real, current experience operating inside a live data center environment, understanding the day-to-day mechanics of the space well enough to hold their own in a technical conversation with engineering teams, cabling, implementations, infrastructure changes, without needing everything translated for them first. Direct people leadership is central to this role, not a secondary skill. You'll be managing a team that needs coaching, structure, and a stronger performance culture built from where it currently stands, so this role needs someone who has genuinely hired, developed, and managed the performance of direct reports before, not someone who has only coordinated or influenced a team they didn't formally own. Beyond people leadership, you'll be running multiple concurrent projects at once, building the operating rhythm, reporting cadence, and KPI visibility that keeps a complex programme organised and visible to senior leadership, while staying available to jump on urgent, unplanned issues the moment they land on your desk. This role also carries a business growth component, part of your remit is spotting where the existing footprint can expand and supporting that alongside your delivery work, so this suits someone comfortable operating as both a delivery lead and a quiet business developer, not just a project executor. You'll also be communicating regularly with SVP-level stakeholders and coordinating across cross-functional teams, so strong, confident communication is essential, not a nice-to-have. SDM Requirements Direct, hands-on people management experience, hiring, developing, and performance-managing a team, not just coordinating one you didn't own. Recent, hands-on operational experience in a live data center environment, not construction or commissioning. Working technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, cabling, implementations, and related systems, enough to engage credibly with engineering teams. Proven experience managing senior stakeholder relationships up to SVP level. Demonstrated ability to run several concurrent projects while remaining responsive to urgent, reactive demands, backed by a clear reporting and KPI cadence. Experience building or rebuilding team culture and performance in a team that needed real investment, not just maintaining an already high-functioning one. Exposure to account or business growth activities alongside delivery work. If interested, please apply with your most up-to-date CV and I'll be in touch.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
