About the role

Position Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is seeking two full‑time BC/BE pediatric hospitalists to join our team.
Responsibilities: Primary management of patients on the pediatric floor, covering an average daily census of 25‑30 patients. Consultation and collaboration with pediatric subspecialists. Care for newborns in the well‑baby nursery (no delivery attendance).Teaching family medicine residents and medical students from the University of Alabama—Birmingham. Working approximately 14 shifts per month on a full‑time schedule.
Qualifications: Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics. Eligibility for medical licensure in Alabama. Full‑time commitment.

About the Facility The hospital is a stand‑alone facility dedicated to caring for women, infants, children, and adolescents. It has a 16‑bed Pediatric ER, an 11‑bed PICU, and a 40‑bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit. A St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital clinic for pediatric hematology/oncology is also available.
