About the role

My client, a rapidly expanding hedge fund, is looking to hire a Chief Compliance Officer into it's New York office. They are capitalising on consecutive years of stellar performance and expanding their presence in the US, having already built out their operations in London. With AUM over doubling in the past 2 years, this is truly an exciting time to join. They are looking to hire a Chief Compliance Officer to cover all aspects of compliance for the business. The role will take over the compliance remit from the GC. You will grow and develop the program and have autonomy to implement changes as needed. There is junior resource in their London office to handle the BAU, so there will be as big emphasis on project management and business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong compliance experience in a hedge fund, ideally with coverage across a variety of asset classes. A JD is a plus, but not required. My client will pay a lucrative comp package to the right candidate. It is a key senior hire and you will be an integral part of senior management from day one.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
