Volt is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Assembly Operator to join an innovative manufacturing team supporting the development of cutting-edge RF power amplifier modules and evaluation boards. If you excel in die attach, wire bonding, EVB assembly, and advanced prototype builds, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact on next-generation products in a collaborative, high-tech environment. As a Sr. Assembly Operator, you will: Assemble and rework evaluation board circuits. Follow and adhere to established assembly processes, procedures, and workflows. Read and interpret assembly instructions, circuit diagrams, schematics, and engineering, operate, and troubleshoot assembly equipment including Datacon, K&S Iconn, SMT, Mold, Saw, and related equipment. Perform RF power amplifier module assembly including: GaN/GaAs die attach Wire bondingSMD component soldering GloppingProvide technical guidance and support to entry-level technicians. Maintain component inventory and organize stock for production and development activities. Ensure quality standards and production requirements are met. Support prototype and evaluation board builds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project objectives. Adhere to all company safety procedures and quality standards. This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: 7+ years of experience in a semiconductor or fab manufacturing environment.5 to 7 years of RF power amplifier module and discrete assembly experience. Experience assembling and reworking evaluation boards (EVB).Demonstrated success working with assembly processes and manufacturing to read and interpret RF assembly diagrams, schematics, and technical operating RF prototype assembly equipment including Datacon, K&S Iconn, SMT, Mold, Saw, and related equipment. Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based software. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, goals, and business needs. Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. Ability to work onsite in an office/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Experience supporting prototype development and engineering evaluation builds. Prior experience mentoring or training junior technicians. Knowledge of RF power amplifier module manufacturing processes. Continuous improvement or process optimization experience within semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
