About the role
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and new business opportunities.* Prospect, identify, pursue, and secure new customers throughout the assigned territory.* Develop strategic account plans to grow revenue, volume, margin, and market share.* Build relationships with decision-makers across purchasing, operations, and leadership.* Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and commercial agreements.* Manage opportunities and sales activity through CRM, including pipeline and forecasting.* Conduct customer visits, plant tours, product trials, and technical consultations to help move opportunities forward.* Partner with Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience.* Maintain and grow existing relationships while identifying opportunities for additional business.* Address customer service, quality, or delivery concerns in partnership with internal teams.
- Hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and win new business.* Typically 4–8 years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience.* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business development goals.* Comfortable with frequent local travel and some overnight travel.* Strong prospecting, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.* Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a territory-based sales environment.* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand pricing, profitability, and customer needs.* Experience using CRM systems to manage prospects, opportunities, and forecasts.* Industrial packaging, manufacturing, distribution, or related B2B sales experience is a plus.* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
