Job Duties:
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Schedules, conducts, and documents the results of monthly continuity meetings. Coordinates with the Information Technology office to organize, issue, and maintain inventory of emergency communications equipment, to include Satellite Telephones and GETS/WPS cards. Prepares written correspondence, including status reports, briefing papers, decision memoranda, position papers, budget justification, statements of work, etc as they pertain to continuity programs. Plans training, workshops, seminars, and exercises to be delivered by FEMA or outside vendors in coordination with the Training and Exercise Program Manager. Assists in the development and recommendation of corrective action resulting from continuity exercises; reports findings, makes recommendations, and ensures appropriate follow-up actions are taken. Drafts and implements policy regarding periodic training, testing, and reporting operability of emergency communications equipment Manages all aspects of the continuity budget and associated contracts and duties. Provides periodic status reports regarding emergency communications equipment to the Plans Section Chief. Provides guidance and technical assistance to APHIS program leadership and EMSSD staff regarding the implementation and maintenance of agency-wide continuity programs.
