About the role
- Schedules and trains all new volunteers Maintains a weekly schedule of all pantry volunteers and emails a reminder notice of the schedule Conducts an initial familiarization visit with potential new volunteers Complete data entry tracking through the Efforts to Outcome system and full monthly reports related to food and client traffic Food supply Determines that sufficient prepackaged (client food bags) is available for upcoming pantry sessions. Ensures that all donated and purchased food is processed according to FBGNC requirements. (This includes sorting, cleaning, checking expiration dates, marking products & storing on shelves.) Ensures that freezers are stocked with meat at all times. Administrative
- Attend required training for food pantry membership and safe food handling. Maintain recruitment plan to enlist additional volunteers needed to perform pantry tasks Oversee and develop all food drive donations Performs a weekly inventory of available food and purchase items needed Cleans refrigerators and freezers weekly Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize
- Dedicated to working with others
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attentiveness to detail and ability to follow through with multiple projects
- Experience with collaborative, team-oriented environments
- Previous work experience preferred; Microsoft Office Suite a plus
- Starting pay: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly; competitive health insurance and benefits
