You’llleadcomplexsensoryandconsumerresearch, developadvancedmethodologies, andtranslate Memberfeedbackintoclearproductdirection. Workingcloselywith Product Development, Merchandising, Quality, Consumer Insights, andsuppliers, you’llapplydeepscientificexpertisetosolvechallengingproductquestionsandinfluencedecisionsfromearlydevelopmentthroughvalidation.
Thisisahighlyinfluentialindividual-contributorroleforascientistwhocanindependentlydesignrigorousresearch, performadvancedanalysis, andturncomplexfindingsintoactionablebusinessrecommendations.
About the team:
The Member’sMark Consumer&Sensory Insightsteamintegratesmemberfeedbackintoproductdevelopmentfor Sam’sClub. Utilizingquantitativeandqualitativeresearchmethods, theteamconductsin-hometests, centrallocationevaluations, andimmersivestudiestoco-createandoptimizeproducts. Bytranslatingmemberexperiencesintoactionableinsights, theteamsupports Product Development, Merchandising, andsupplierpartners. Theirfocusistodeeplyunderstandmembers, enhanceproductquality, reducerisk, anddriveperformance. Expertiseindataanalysis, visualization, exploratoryanalysis, datastrategy, quality, andsensoryanalysisunderpinstheirapproachtodeliveringimpactfulbusinesssolutions.

Selectandapplytherightmethodologiesbasedontheproduct, businessquestion, anddevelopmentstage.
Applystatisticaltechniquestoindependentlyanalyzeandinterpretresearchresults.
Developnewapproachesandmethodologiesthatadvance Sam’sClubsensorycapabilities.
Partnerwith Product Developmenttodiagnoseproductperformanceandidentifyopportunitiesforimprovement.
Translatesensorydataintospecific, actionableproductdirection.
Connectmultiplesourcesofdatatoexplain what Membersexperience, whyitmatters, andwhatshouldchange.
