This role will focus on accurate and timely invoicing to our customers. The Customer Relations Billing Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.RESPONSIBILITIESInvoice assigned customers timely and accuratelyResolve customer inquiries and discrepancies timelyDocument resolutions and maintain billing records consistentlyVerify invoice procedures and validate customer contractsEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customersCollaborate with the Field, Collections Team, Sales, and Accounts Receivable Team to ensure payments for assigned customers are received within terms and applied properlyEscalate complex issues to supervisors using standardized templatesCommunicate with internal and/or external customersParticipate in governance calls and daily huddles as requiredAct as a resource for other functions within AWPProvide training and support as requestedPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3-5 years AR/Billing experience preferredPay application, lien waiver, and contract management experience preferredStrong customer service skillsBasic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsDemonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsOutgoing & assertive personality - not afraid to approach individualsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferredWest - Prelude, American ContractorNorth & South - Salesforce, Great PlainsMountain - Microsoft Dynamics 365Central - TCR, SageAdditional InformationBenefits-eligible 1st of the month following hireAll traditional benefits are offered, including 3 medical plan options and 2 dental plan options, as well as additional benefits such as Legal and Identity Shield, Accident, and Critical IllnessCompany paid 50k in basic life insuranceCompany paid LTDHealth Savings and Flex Spending Accounts Available401(k)Paid Time Off & Paid HolidaysAWP named one of America's Greatest Workplaces 2023 and 2025 for DiversityAWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
