Purpose Health-ISAC (Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center) plays an essential role providingsituational awareness around cyber and physical security threats to the Health Sector so that companiescan detect, mitigate, and respond to ensure operational resilience. Health-ISAC, a non-profit and private sector organization, connects thousands of health securityprofessionals around the world to share peer insights, real-time threat alerts, and best practices in atrusted, collaborative environment.
POSITION SUMMARY: Health-ISAC is seeking a Director of Applied Intelligence & Business Enablement to act as a key technicalbusiness partner, architect, and operational backup for core IT operations. This leader will partner withinternal teams to modernize core operational workflows and elevate the Member Services Platforms, leveraging applied AI capabilities and intelligent assistants to streamline routine tasks and support staffacross all departments. Additionally, this role provides critical operational redundancy and technicalescalation, serving as a primary backup for IT and security analyst operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Intelligence & Enterprise Optimization• Serve as the technical architect and business partner responsible for modernizing member andinternal systems capabilities, introducing interactive, conversational knowledge-retrievalmechanisms across platforms.• Audit and convert manual workflows into automated, resilient solutions across Member Engagement, Events, Development, and Finance & Operations.• Establish a centralized intake, evaluation, and prioritization process for internal automation andtechnology requests across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, technical feasibility, and data security standards.• Connect external services, data enrichment pipelines, and the front-end membership portal.• Establish governance frameworks for secure data processing, automated systems development, and technology usage compliance. IT Infrastructure, Operations & Security Backup• Act as the designated secondary lead/escalation point for the IT Analyst during high-volume operational cycles, planned leave, or unplanned absences.• Maintain and support essential IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, routers, switches, network segments, and endpoint hardware.• Support security incident response and threat monitoring across traditional IT infrastructure and specialized, automated intelligence platforms.• Support and maintain enterprise security tooling (e.g., EDR/Crowdstrike, Okta, Qualys).• Assist with high-tier end-user support requests and serve as an escalation point for Service Desk software resolution.• Collaborate on continuously updating disaster recovery, incident response, and continuity plans. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying Generative AI models, agentic workflows, large language models (LLMs), automated data pipelines, and robust AI governance frameworks.• 5–7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity operations.• Working knowledge of Windows and macOS ecosystems, Active Directory/Okta identity management, network security, and backup/recovery procedures.• Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR, specifically Crowdstrike preferred), vulnerability management (Qualys preferred), and threat monitoring.• Proven capability as an internal business partner able to translate cross-functional business needs into practical technical solutions.• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
