About the role

Overview: An established investment and operating organization is seeking a Senior Associate, Construction Finance, to support financial planning and reporting for large-scale, complex capital projects. This role will own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and monthly reporting, partnering with project teams and senior leadership to monitor project costs, evaluate financial performance, and support capital allocation decisions. The position combines construction finance, project cost controls, and technology-enabled financial analysis. The successful candidate will review contractor cost reports, develop rolling cost-to-complete forecasts, assess budget and schedule performance, and strengthen financial reporting processes. There is also an opportunity to improve workflows through automation, AI-enabled tools, business intelligence platforms, and enterprise financial systems.
Responsibilities: Prepare monthly project financial reporting packages for senior leadership and other stakeholders. Review contractor cost reports, schedules of values, and change order logs for accuracy and budget compliance. Maintain budget-to-actual reporting across construction costs, professional fees, equipment, contingency, and other project expenses. Develop earned value analysis to assess project cost performance and schedule progress. Maintain rolling forecasts for cost-to-complete, projected final costs, and cash outflows. Analyze cost variances, contractor forecasts, change order exposure, and contingency utilization. Build executive dashboards and financial summaries that communicate project performance and financial risks. Support annual budgeting, capital planning, and project investment decisions. Review contractor billing, subcontractor costs, payment applications, retainage, and supporting documentation. Support cost audits and collaborate with legal and risk teams on contract billing and payment provisions. Maintain financial planning models and reporting data within enterprise performance management systems. Apply automation, AI tools, and business intelligence platforms to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. Partner with Accounting on month-end close, general ledger integrity, intercompany reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant reporting. Improve financial reporting templates, cost coding, controls, and processes while supporting junior team members.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
