About the role

Overview In this leadership role you drive HR across the full employment lifecycle for a project-led, global organization. You will oversee home-office and project-site HR activities in the Americas, ensuring timely and effective support for service delivery. You lead a team of HR professionals, shaping talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and HR operations. You’ll work with cross-functional leaders to align HR with project needs and company goals, enabling scalable people strategies in a complex environment. Responsibilities Lead HR teams and ensure high-quality delivery of services Build collaborative relationships with management to support project delivery Provide guidance and development for HR staff Advise on HR policies, processes, and employee relations Manage recruitment, onboarding/off-boarding, and international/domestic moves Oversee talent management programs (talent reviews, succession, goals) and compensation processes Coordinate with HR COEs for global initiatives and ensure consistency while respecting jurisdictional differences Oversee HR systems, reporting, and data visualization for decision making Ensure compliance with McDermott policies and mandatory training Travel to project sites for hands-on HR support as needed Lead change management and process improvements to drive efficiency and service quality Manage a team of HR Generalists/Business Partners Support office and project-site HR operations via Shared Service Center (GPS)Produce monthly and ad-hoc HR reports and analytics Own and enforce confidentiality and discretion in HR activities Perform other duties as assigned Key requirements 10+ years in a senior HR role within a project-led global organization Experience in matrix organizations and credibility with senior leaders Oil and Gas industry experience; project-based environments domestic and international beneficial Strong problem-solving, leadership, and service-delivery orientation Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build trusted relationships Discretion and confidentiality; strong stakeholder management Experience with HR systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, People Soft)Ability to understand construction project complexity and HR implications Experience in change management and continuous improvement Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and talent management processes Eligibility for travel to site locationscollaborativeservant leadershipstrong communicationSAPOracle People Soft
