About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native software solutions. This opportunity is suited to an accomplished engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, SQL, Cloud Computing, and Distributed Systems who enjoys solving complex technical challenges within a large-scale enterprise environment. The Java Developer will collaborate with Software Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Quality Assurance, Cloud Infrastructure, Product Management, and Security teams to deliver reliable, high-performance software solutions supporting critical business applications. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced proficiency in Core Java, Java 17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, API Development, Database Integration, and modern software engineering practices, along with experience designing production-ready systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and backend services. Build scalable Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed application components. Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-documented Java code following established engineering standards. Develop integrations between enterprise systems, databases, cloud services, and external APIs. Optimize application performance, database queries, scalability, and resource utilization. Implement persistence layers using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, or comparable technologies. Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks. Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable fixes. Participate in software architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and peer code reviews. Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-native application delivery. Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions. Mentor engineering colleagues and contribute to software-development best practices. Improve existing applications through refactoring, modernization, and technical-debt reduction.
Job Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 7 years of professional Java Development, Backend Engineering, or closely related software-development experience required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Advanced proficiency in Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, concurrency, multithreading, and JVM fundamentals. Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and Spring Data. Professional experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of SQL optimization, Hibernate, JPA, and database design principles. Familiarity with modern Java versions, preferably Java 17 or later. Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, and modern development workflows. Strong understanding of JUnit, Mockito, automated testing, and test-driven development principles. Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable CI/CD technologies. Understanding of authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure application development. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or event-driven architecture is advantageous. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

Strategic Support: Contribute to enterprise application modernization and cloud migration initiatives. Support development of scalable, reusable backend services and API architecture. Help improve software engineering standards, developer productivity, and delivery automation. Provide technical expertise for platform scalability, reliability, and application security. Support migration from legacy Java applications toward modern Spring Boot and cloud-native architectures. Contribute to technology evaluations and long-term software architecture decisions. Identify opportunities to improve system integration, operational efficiency, and technical maintainability.
Working Conditions:

  • Collaboration across multiple U.S. time zones may be required.
