About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with customer contacts and identify opportunities to expand distribution and sales. Provide responsive, professional follow-up to customers and internal partners. Prepare sales presentations, product proposals, pricing information, samples, and other materials for customer meetings and line reviews. Coordinate customer requests and sales initiatives with internal teams including Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance. Monitor open orders, inventory availability, backorders, and customers need to help maximize shipments and sales. Assist with sales forecasting, account planning, new-item set-up, and ongoing program management. Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales information within company systems. Research customers, competitors, products, pricing, and market trends to identify potential sales opportunities. Participate in customer meetings, sales calls, trade shows, and other sales activities as needed. Take ownership of projects and opportunities from initial request through execution. Prospect for new customers and business opportunities through research, outbound calls, email outreach, and lead development. Support the sales team in managing and growing existing retail accounts, including day-to-day customer communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant business experience.2+ years of experience in sales, inside sales, account management, customer development, or a related role preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with a positive, proactive approach to problem solving and business development. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, sales data, and basic financial concepts. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and other standard business applications. Experience with consumer products, retail, or wholesale distribution is a plus. Ability and willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and AI-enabled business tools.
