About the role
Overview
In this role you will shape BCBS’s brand and cross-system experience strategy, translating insights into actionable direction. You will lead brand initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align brand and customer experience across Associations and Plans. You’ll synthesize research to inform leadership decisions, develop concise brand and creative briefs, and guide agency partners. You’ll work with leadership forums to drive strategic priorities and contribute to customer experience programs at the intersection of brand, marketing, and experience.

Responsibilities Lead and execute brand strategy initiatives to advance and protect the BCBS brand across the System and Plans Translate consumer insights into strategic direction and develop brand/creative briefs for internal teams and agencies Synthesize research and inputs into clear recommendations for leadership review, leveraging AI-enabled analysis tools Drive brand and marketing direction for customer experience initiatives (CXLC) ensuring alignment across Association and Plan engagement Oversee defined workstreams in System brand strategy in collaboration with the Director, activating the brand and delivering on its promise Contribute to Brand Collaborative initiatives with Plans and cross-functional teams Develop content and strategic recommendations for the Marketing Executive Council and advisory group to align priorities across the System Participate in leadership forums and support CX-related programming where brand and experience intersect
Key requirements 5+ years experience in brand strategy or marketing Effective interpersonal, professional, and courteous communication with a service-oriented mindset Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills Strong time management and prioritization abilities Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to connect insights to opportunities Excellent listener and communicator who distills information to identify gapspositivityprofessionalismpersuasivenessAI-enabled analysis toolsexperience with customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot)familiarity with Human-Centered Design (HCD)/Design Thinking methods
