Ticket Office SellerThe University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), Division of Campus Services, is actively recruiting for Ticket Office Seller for the Alaska Airlines Center (AAC). The AAC is a stunning 196,000-square-foot facility that seats up to 5,000 spectators in the main arena and is a cornerstone of UAA's Anchorage campus. To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess basic computer knowledge. A flexible schedule, including availability to work on evenings and weekends, is critical. The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure is essential. While prior experience in sales and customer service is preferred, ticketing experience is helpful but not mandatory. Candidates must also be comfortable handling and reconciling cash with accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must: Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters. Have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (preference given to applicants with above a 2.5 GPA) Student must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with UAA and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by UAA's Office of Financial Assistance. An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.
Position Details: This is a Student Assistant 2 position with a wage of $16.20 per hour that works up to 20 hours per week during the academic year. This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage.
