About the role
- Plan and convene meetings with internal and external partners that support nutrition security efforts across the state
- Identify emerging issues/opportunities related to food access, and work across sectors to convene key stakeholders and collaboratively develop action plans to address them
- Leverage existing resources and establish new partnerships that support nutrition security in Tennessee
- Support multi stakeholder, high impact projects and programs that fill gaps in the food system and advance equitable, community-driven solutions to address food access problems
- Participate in coalition and council meetings and activities as needed
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, team building, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to share complex information clearly and confidently with stakeholder groups
- Facilitation experience and the ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds is essential
- Ability to navigate complex relationships, work within multifaceted systems, and identify nuanced opportunities to move projects forward
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in nutrition, public health or related field is required; master's degree preferred.5+ years of relevant, progressively responsible project management experience 5+ years of professional facilitation experience
- Proven ability to identify emerging challenges in complex environments and find stakeholder-driven solutions to address them
- Experience with statewide plan development
- Experience conceptualizing contracted scopes of work and overseeing their execution
- Prior experience working with nutrition related programs
- Background in food systems
