Role Description:
This is very much a unique opportunity to run your own "business within a business" for the right, self-driven candidate. The Electrical OR Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Milwaukee. This position is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for electrical OR plumbing projects, including reviewing plans and specifications, performing material and labor take-offs, and obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing. The role also involves managing projects from inception through completion, coordinating schedules, overseeing field work, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Estimator / Project Manager will collaborate with customers, field teams, and vendors to clarify scopes of work, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication throughout each project. Additional responsibilities include updating project documentation, tracking change orders, and supporting energy management and sustainability goals on applicable projects.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Electrical OR Plumbing and Pipe work, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair and General Maintenance to support project planning, troubleshooting, and practical field coordination.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, including clear communication, responsiveness, and a professional approach to client interactions.
Experience in electrical OR plumbing estimating, project management, or a related construction or building services role is highly beneficial.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with relevant software such as estimating tools, project management platforms, and standard office applications.
Knowledge of energy management, conservation practices, and applicable codes and regulations is an asset.
A relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Capacity to collaborate effectively with field technicians, subcontractors, and stakeholders in an on-site environment.
