About the role

Our client, an established Orange County-based private credit lender, is conducting a confidential search for a VP of Sales & Production. This hands-on senior leadership role reports directly to the Founder and CEO. It is designed for a proven producer who will continue to originate while building, leading, and holding accountable a wholesale origination team. The organization knows that a great salesperson doesn't always make a great sales manager. They are looking for someone who has proven both: a strong personal book of business and a track record of developing others into successful producers. What you'll own: Bring meaningful personal production and continue growing your own book of business Build out the wholesale origination team by recruiting, hiring, and developing originators Lead, coach, and hold originators accountable to production and quality goals Grow mortgage broker and referral partner relationships across Southern California Partner with Operations and Underwriting to deliver well-structured loans that protect investor capital Work directly with the CEO and senior leadership on sales strategy and growth
Requirements: A proven track record of strong personal production in private money, hard money, bridge, or non-QM lending Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing originators, with results to show for it Wholesale or broker-channel experience strongly preferred An established network of mortgage broker and referral relationships in Southern California A disciplined approach to credit quality and deal structure Experience recruiting and building a sales team Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong producer without management experience?
