Job DescriptionSUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Apprentice I that will be responsible for learning the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.RESPONSIBILITIESLoad and unload equipmentErect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and stagingLevel ground for scaffoldingTend motor and groutLift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and bucketsGeneral cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debrisPlace, push, pull, and shovel concreteVibrate concreteEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSEnrolled in Apprentice Aptitude ProgramExperience in construction preferredAbility to work with tools and equipment, such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggiesStrong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail oriented; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
