About the role
Position Overview:
Shape the Future of Aviation! We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Enterprise Architecture (EA) and conducting research, evaluations, analyses, and studies of internal business challenges and presenting recommendations, including short- and long-term solutions. Concepts Beyond provides Systems Engineering and aviation expertise on advance Air Traffic Management concepts and develops Information Management & related technologies, including Enterprise Architecture, Big Data, Cloud, and Cybersecurity.
Essential Functions:
NAS EA Framework: Adhere to the processes outlined in the current National Airspace System (NAS) EA Framework and its four primary disciplines (EA Modeling, Enterprise Analysis, Enterprise Planning, Management), particularly processes aligned with Enterprise Planning. NAS EA Update Cycle: Facilitate the continuous re-baselining of NAS EA data, including editing and reviewing information within the Systems Engineering Portal (SEP) in coordination with the SEP team. Roadmap Maintenance: Maintain content of any assigned NAS EA planning products, including Infrastructure, Service, and Business & Technology (B&T) roadmaps. Maintain configuration control and traceability across successive intervals data-update intervals. Outreach and Collaboration: Foster communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to promote understanding and compliance with the NAS EA and associated policies. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research, evaluations, and analyses of software and business processes intended to streamline Enterprise Planning workstreams. Business Intelligence Delivery: Develop, test, deploy, and maintain tools, applications, or dashboards, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools as needed. Recommendations: Develop and present recommendations, including short- and long-term solutions, to address internal business problems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in aviation, computer science, or related fields from an accredited US institution.2-6 years of analysis experience. Knowledge of system engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices. Strong analytical skills and ability to critically assess technical and programmatic issues. Ability to understand big picture while also have attention to detail. Self-starter demonstrating solid judgment; understands when to seek guidance but has strong ability to think and act independently under limited oversight and direction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with customers and technical professionals at all levels. Able to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to manage project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep projects on-track.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with common NAS enterprise planning products (Service roadmaps, B&T roadmaps, Infrastructure roadmaps), NAS concepts (TBO, NAS EA Domains [Communications, Navigation, Surveillance, Automation, Weather, etc.], new entrants [UAS, AAM, Commercial space], and/or integrated data environments).Familiarity with the FAA SEP and EA configuration management (CM) practices. Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, Data Bricks, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).Strong data management background. Any familiarity with Enterprise Architecture or Systems Engineering concepts, including familiarity with the Systems Engineering life cycle (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288).
