About the role

We are looking for a skilled Package Designer to support contract-based project work for a leading company in the amusement and entertainment space. This Contract position focuses on creating and assembling sample apparel and accessories for dolls and figures, with work tied to short project cycles that arise regularly. The role is based in Chatsworth, California, and is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on pattern development, sewing, and translating creative concepts into finished physical samples.
Responsibilities: Construct sample garments and accessory prototypes for dolls and figures using supplied fabrics, trims, and reference materials. Interpret existing physical patterns and assemble accurate samples with strong attention to fit, proportion, and finish. Develop new pattern pieces when needed, including translating two-dimensional artwork or concept images into workable templates. Complete short-term assignments efficiently while maintaining quality across recurring freelance project requests. Prepare finished samples for delivery or return shipment when collaborating remotely with the client team. Partner with design stakeholders to refine prototype details and ensure each sample reflects intended style and construction. Perform hands-on sewing and pattern adjustments throughout the sample-making process to support product development.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
