This pivotal role involves identifying, developing, and qualifying large MEP+ opportunities that are beyond the reach of any single operating company. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and owning the national pipeline, developing senior-level relationships, and orchestrating the hand-off of opportunities to the appropriate operating companies. A key aspect of the role is to operate as a senior member of the platform leadership team, defining and executing the business development strategy, and ensuring the platform's win through the work put in front of them. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' experience in business development, sales, or preconstruction leadership within MEP, specialty trade, general contracting, or industrial services. The role requires a proven track record in sourcing and influencing large, complex construction or facilities opportunities, as well as executive-level relationships and the ability to operate in a decentralized or multi-entity organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to build and lead a business development team, and will be measured on the platform's success rather than individual wins. A background in a private equity-backed platform or multi-brand operating environment is preferred, along with experience in high-complexity end markets and a strong understanding of MEP scopes and construction delivery methods.Hiring Manager TitleCEOFunctionsBusiness Development
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
