Commercial Investments Associate | Real Estate Private Equity📍 Chevy Chase, MD | In office five days per week💰 $120,000–$140,000 Base Salary + Bonus An established real estate investment firm is seeking a Commercial Investments Associate to support acquisitions and asset management across office and retail assets. This opportunity offers broad exposure to the investment lifecycle, including underwriting, transaction execution, leasing, financing and asset strategy. The Associate will work directly with senior leadership and take meaningful ownership within a lean, collaborative team.
What You’ll Do: Underwrite prospective acquisitions through detailed financial modeling, cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis. Review rent rolls, leases, property financial statements and operating and capital expenditure budgets. Conduct market research to evaluate investment opportunities and inform asset strategy. Prepare investment committee memoranda and partner presentations. Coordinate due diligence and closing activities for acquisitions, dispositions and debt financings. Evaluate new and renewal lease economics. Work with internal teams and external partners on leasing, budgets, property performance and lender compliance. Analyze monthly financial results and prepare quarterly and annual reporting. Coordinate with development and accounting teams on project schedules and draw reviews. Translate financial and market analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For: 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate investments, acquisitions, asset management or capital markets. Demonstrated financial analysis and underwriting experience with office and retail properties. Strong proficiency in Excel and ARGUS.Experience evaluating leases, property cash flows and capital expenditures. Ability to manage assignments independently and contribute with limited training. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management. Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, accounting or a related field.
