About the role

We are hiring an EHS Manager to support a growing advanced manufacturing operation in the US. This role will take ownership of site-level environmental, health and safety activities, with a particular focus on chemical safety, specialty gases, process safety and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage day-to-day EHS programs across the manufacturing site Develop, implement and continuously improve site safety policies, procedures and compliance programs Manage safety requirements relating to hazardous chemicals, specialty gases, chemical storage, handling and distribution systems Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses and process safety reviews Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions Support emergency response planning, chemical spill response and site safety preparedness Ensure compliance with applicable US federal, state and local EHS regulations, including OSHA requirements Conduct site inspections, audits and employee safety training Work closely with engineering and facilities teams on new equipment, production lines and facility modifications Support contractor safety and permit-to-work processes Build a strong safety culture while maintaining practical alignment with manufacturing and operational requirements Qualification Strong EHS / Safety experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Direct hands-on experience with hazardous chemicals and specialty gases Experience within semiconductor, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical / medical manufacturing, battery, electronics or another process-intensive manufacturing environment is highly relevant Strong knowledge of US EHS regulations (Carolina preferred) Experience working around chemical delivery systems, gas systems, production equipment and facility infrastructure preferred Able to operate both strategically and hands-on at site level Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, engineering and senior management teams
