Operations Supervisor 96 Gainesville GA - Gainesville, GA 30501 Overview Position Type Terminal Support Job Shift Salary Travel Percentage Negligible Category IC1 Description Position Summary This position is accountable for assisting in the operations for a terminal location.
Essential Functions:
Supervise performance of drivers Conduct interviews and hire drivers Work closely with dispatchers on troubleshooting items such as delivery issues, driver training program, staffing levels, customer requests/complaints, etc. Approve/Deny driver PTO requests, manage annual vacation schedule, create weekly driver schedule for dispatch Assist in the forecasting of terminal performance and analyze terminal financial information Ensure maximum asset utilization Qualifications Qualifications Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry Excellent conflict resolution skills Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
