Mavis is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our Analytics team at our Operations Support Center in White Plains, New York. With over 4,000 retail locations, Mavis is the largest independently held tire sales and automotive repair chain in the United States. This is a great opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and turning information into meaningful business insights.
About the Position: As a member of the Analytics Department, the Junior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Manager of Analytics and other members of the team to analyze data and develop actionable insights that support business decisions across the organization. The Junior Financial Analyst will compile information from multiple data sources, organize and evaluate findings, and present clear, data-driven recommendations to teams including Executive Leadership, Operations, Finance, Inventory, and Marketing.
Responsibilities: The Junior Financial Analyst will: Compile and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement; Develop analyses that provide actionable insights and quantify potential impact on profitability; Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials that clearly communicate findings to various audiences; Support the Manager of Analytics and other team members with ongoing analytical projects and business initiatives; Work with departments across the organization to understand business needs and translate data into meaningful insights; and Assist with the continued development of reporting and analytical tools.
Qualifications: To be eligible for the position, candidates should possess:1–3 years of experience in financial, business, or marketing analysis; Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Strong quantitative and analytical abilities; Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; Programming experience or a willingness to learn SQL and Power BI/DAX; Strong written communication and presentation skills; and Demonstrated ownership and project management skills.
