Al's Cafe is looking for a skilled Line Cook to join our team in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. As a Line Cook at Al's Cafe, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to our menu of American cuisine. Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper plate presentation and food quality
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and utilize scratch cooking techniques
- Practice portion control and maintain food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team to meet customer needs in a timely manner
Required Skills:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Experience with menu planning and execution
- Strong knowledge of pasta, broiling, sautéing, and fryer techniques
- Ability to manage food costs and dietary restrictions
- Experience with batch cooking, a la carte, breakfast, and pastry making
- Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with soup making and special diets
- Knowledge of food cost management and line cooking
