About the role
An established private wealth organization is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join its portfolio team. Working closely with portfolio managers, this role offers hands-on involvement across the operational side of client portfolio management. It is an opportunity to build a more complete understanding of how investment decisions are implemented across client accounts.
Responsibilities:
Support the daily administration of client investment accounts. Prepare and process investment activity based on portfolio manager instructions. Coordinate transactions with internal teams, custodians, and other financial institutions. Monitor activity through settlement and follow up on delayed or unresolved items. Review account cash positions and coordinate funding for investments, fees, and client transactions. Process wire activity and maintain the required supporting documentation. Research and resolve discrepancies involving transactions, account charges, and service fees. Assist with client billing and related account activity. Prepare recurring and ad hoc portfolio reports. Support new account setup, documentation, and onboarding. Maintain accurate records for internal reviews, audits, and client requests. Coordinate operational projects and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field required. At least two years of recent experience in investment operations, portfolio administration, or a closely related function. Recent experience within wealth management, a family office, or a registered investment advisory firm required. Professional fluency in English and Spanish required. Experience with order management systems and custodial platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive account activity. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
