POSITION SUMMARY: A growing cannabis retailer is seeking a Retail District Manager to join the Colorado-based team. The Retail District Manager is responsible for reaching the sales and profit goals in the assigned District by creating a cross-functional plan to deliver the best customer experience aligned with the company. They work with succession planning, talent and leadership development, and structured performance management for the Store Managers based on results, values, and leadership. The DM will work in accordance with legal requirements and company standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Regularly analyze and follow up sales & profit KPIs and take actions accordinglyEnsure the hours plan is in line with the sales budgetEnsure that scheduling maximizes conversion within the frame of the hours planPrioritize actions that have a clear impact on sellingEnsure an allocation that secures a good product level according to the selling together with the Production teamFollow up to ensure the store execution meets Company standardsImplement and follow up on all SOPsEnsure Company customer service standards are delivered in all stores in your DistrictAnalyze and implement the optimal store layout in every store through cooperation with the Creative teamEnsure stores are maintained in a cost-efficient way and initiate actions accordinglyActively prevent loss together with Store Management & ensure all stores follow appropriate guidelinesMaintain an overview of the competitor landscape, potential risks, threats, and opportunities and take actions accordinglyOversee and manage recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for storesTogether with the HR Director, follow up & evaluate HR KPIs & initiate actions accordingly to maximize resultsMonitor, evaluate, and manage the performance of Store Managers; execute annual performance reviews, development plans and follow-ups and take actions accordinglyActively work with a talent pipeline to support the business needsCollaborate with the corporate functions and ensure clear communication to the stores on business performance, company culture, strategy, and company goalsEnsure health & safety, legal and security issues are always being handled to Company standards and local laws securing the employee and customer safetyAccountable to the sales and profit for the designated DistrictQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent years of experienceMinimum of 3 years’ experience as a Multi-Unit Manager or 5-7 years as a Store Manager for a large volume store or in a comparable roleStrong commitment and experience with providing a high level of customer serviceAbility to coach and counsel staff and performance management and progressive discipline techniques
