Laboratory Assistant, Per Diem Responsibilities include specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS). Performs all assigned duties in designated areas. Required Skills: Phlebotomy and skin puncture techniques on patients ranging from infancy through adults. Written and verbal communication skills Basic organizational skills Basic computer skills
Required Experience: Current California Phlebotomy Certification meeting California Business and Profession Codes Experience in obtaining blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture methods. Experience with computer data entry
Preferred Experience: Two years phlebotomist or laboratory assistant with phlebotomy duties in an acute care hospital. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Minimum Salary: $25.33
Maximum Salary: $25.33
