About the role
Ammunition Specialist Duties:
Receive, store, issue, ship, and inspect ammunition. Verify quantity of boxes, packages and other items against shipping documents to ensure accuracy. Complete and maintain shipping documents. Utilize storage charts and technical manuals to determine ammunition storage locations. Load ammunition by classes in accordance with loading and storage charts and other pertinent regulations. Ensure vehicles are not overloaded, and that adequate block and bracing is applied to prevent shifting. Observe and inspect ammunition in storage for corrosion from moisture and deterioration to take corrective actions. Operate 6,000-pound forklifts to move, load, unload, transfer, stack or un-stack palletized goods, equipment, materials and supplies from one location to another. Operate to 2 ton truck to transport materials from one location to another.
