Job Description:
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to independently service and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment. This role focuses on ensuring optimal vehicle and equipment performance through effective repair work and routine maintenance. The mechanic will work standard business hours with some on-call availability and will be provided with a service truck and open shop to facilitate their duties. There is no customer interaction involved in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty trucks
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Utilize provided service truck to reach work sites
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols
- Be available during standard business hours and for on-call duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in vehicle repair
- Knowledge of brake systems and hydraulics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with tires and equipment maintenance
