About the role

A growing manufacturer is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to support profitable growth through financial analysis, pricing support, margin visibility, and quoting analytics. This role will serve as a key financial partner to Quoting, Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, helping ensure customer quotes and pricing decisions are financially sound and aligned with business objectives. This is not a primarily administrative or transactional quoting role. The focus is on analysis, margin protection, pricing discipline, and commercial decision support. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into data, understanding the story behind the numbers, and translating financial analysis into practical recommendations.
What You'll Do: Analyze customer quotes for profitability, margin impact, and alignment with business targets. Validate financial assumptions including material, labor, overhead, tooling, freight, and other cost inputs. Identify margin gaps, cost inconsistencies, quote risks, and opportunities to improve profitability. Develop analysis and recommendations to support pricing decisions for new and existing business. Monitor existing business margins and identify margin erosion or pricing misalignment. Analyze the impact of material, labor, operational, and other cost changes on customer and product profitability. Compare quoted assumptions with actual performance and help improve future quoting assumptions. Support commercial forecasting through analysis of quoted and awarded business, pricing assumptions, and product launches. Analyze new product launch performance against expected margins and quoted assumptions. Identify trends in quoting activity, pricing effectiveness, profitability, and commercial performance. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Quoting, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Tooling, and Finance. Translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for financial and non-financial stakeholders. Help improve consistency, visibility, and financial discipline across quoting and pricing processes.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.3–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, pricing, quoting analysis, cost analysis, FP&A, manufacturing finance, or a related field. Manufacturing experience required, with an understanding of manufacturing cost structures and drivers. Experience with pricing, quoting, margin analysis, product costing, or customer profitability strongly preferred. Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable business recommendations. Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities. Understanding of cost components such as materials, labor, overhead, tooling, and freight. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Ability to build relationships and influence decisions across functions without direct authority. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Comfortable working through incomplete or imperfect data, identifying what is missing, and asking the right questions. Collaborative, curious, and willing to seek input when additional context or expertise is needed. Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, quoting systems, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is a plus.
What Success Looks Like: Within the first several months, this person will develop a strong understanding of the organization's quoting process, cost inputs, margin methodology, and key stakeholders. They will help strengthen financial review of quotes and pricing decisions while improving visibility into profitability and margin opportunities. Over time, this role will help connect quoting assumptions with actual performance, improve pricing discipline, identify margin leakage and cost impacts, and provide Finance and Commercial leadership with better information for decision-making. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, manufacturing, sales, and operations and wants their analysis to directly influence business decisions.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
