About the role
Leading a team of data scientists and governance professionals, the full-time remote Manager of Model Governance will be responsible for setting the long-term strategy, enhancing model governance practices, and managing relationships across various departments and with customers in the financial sector.
Key responsibilities
Lead and develop a growing team focused on model governance and risk management
Establish and enhance governance practices including performance monitoring, validation, and documentation
Manage customer relationships and guide adoption while ensuring compliance with governance standards
Required qualifications
8+ years of experience in model risk management, validation, or governance, with a focus on building teams
4+ years of people management experience in model risk or governance settings
Deep knowledge of model governance regulations and standards for financial institutions
Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to engage technically with data scientists
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, or Engineering
